HOW THE HACKER (COULD) STEAL CHRISTMAS, HANUKKAH, and any other day of the year!

December 11, 2019

Well, the Holiday season is in Full Swing.

Have you been shopping online by any chance?

If so, this blog post may interest you...and please shoot me an email if you want more information.

For starters, do you know where a hacker begins their dastardly deed of hacking most of the time?

From YOUR KEYBOARD.

How?

With something called a "keylogger".

If you are not familiar with the term, here is the skinny...

A keylogger is a malware virus that steals EVERY keystroke you type on your computer and mobile devices.

Let me say that again differently so it sinks in...

EVERY KEYSTROKE YOU TYPE IS STOLEN!

When you’re online, you expose yourself to keylogging attacks.

Using a Keylogger, cyber criminals can steal every password, every credit card number, every message …

EVERYTHING!

Worse yet, a keylogger CANNOT be stopped by Anti-Virus or traditional identity theft companies, like people generally think.

So what's a person to do when the hacker wants to steal everything personal and confidential and financial and medical about them?

Well, according to cyber security experts the best way to defend against a cyber criminal or hacker is to prevent one from getting on your computer in the first place.

The other thing is to put in place multiple layers of security.

This would include traditional identity theft fraud companies, like a Lifelock or something similar.

These companies do provide an important service of monitoring more than you could do on your own.

The same with the anti-virus companies because once they’ve identified viruses and malware, etc. they do provide a very valuable service.

But you have to take ownership of this yourself as a family and a consumer.

It really can't be handed off.

If you're worried about being a hacker's victim, clearly you should know how to protect yourself at the keyboard level.

Like I said earlier, reach out to me and I will answer any questions you have.

Happy and SAFE Shopping!

Best to you,.
